Leafs were very mich pushed around last game a week or so ago by m Ferland martinook and Jordan Staal. 2 of this guys were out of line up last night. Leafs played a significantly more energized game but were not absolutely dominating. Matthews still is not up to par. Nylander needs more conditioning and Tavares even though he got a goal was not his usual form. Kadri-ennis-lindholm-goat-Andersen-kapanen-johnsson stood out for me.
Happy they won.

Ennis looked great--one of those low-risk signings that works out better than you expected.

This was Nylander's first good effort/game since coming back. Even with his assist aside, I thought he looked more speedy/shifty/engaged in this content. He's not 100% or anything, but he actually brought some value this game, which wasn't true in the games prior.

Kapanen and Marner are probably my 2 favorite leafs to watch right now. Speed, skill, and can make a dangerous situation out of almost nothing.

Nylander lost a step or two, and gained a pound or 20.
At this moment, he just can't keep up with Marner-Matthews-Tavares.. Let's hope he'll recover a bit, so coming off-season Leafs can get a nice return in a trade for him.

Let it be, he likes to troll his own fanbase (as I can't believe he actually believes what he posts).

I was worried Babcock was going to bench him a bit after the second penalty. The one where he was dead tired and couldn’t skate so he hung on to the Carolina player for dear life.
Babcock went right back to him and his line. Nylander was had a couple good chances and some good passes to marleau.

Offer sheet!!! 3 year 4 million. It will only cost a team 2nd and leafs cant afford to match it.

Forgive me, Leafs Nation, but I'm just gonna say it:

I think that Kapanen can be just as good as Nylander.

I'd keep Kapanen (at a lower cap hit) and trade Nylander for a defenceman.

Come at me.

Pretty sure I saw somewhere that leafs sports and science said nylander needs minimum 10-14 days to even get up to game speed. Everyone knows he isn’t there yet, but it won’t be long before he is.

Also they won’t be trading nylander anytime soon/ever.

100% agree with you on Kapanen vs Nylander.
but I would prefer to trade Nylander for a younger winger (still on his first contract; lower salary next season) to play on Matthews' wing.

Agreed 132% .. Nylander is overweight and slow now.. won’t regain his form
